What a Move is
A Move is any of the three actions Dilly can run for you. Scout writes a fit read against a job. Forecast reads your field and the AI shift around it. Craft tailors a resume for a specific role. Every plan gets all three. The difference is how big your allowance is and how often it resets.
What Starter is for
Starter is the try-the-platform tier. You can create a profile, browse the full Picks feed, use the skills library, and run up to 5 Moves a week. The weekly reset is meant to let you feel the system in short bursts before stepping into heavier monthly use.
What Dilly is for
Dilly is the main paid plan at $8.99 per month. It gives you 100 Moves a month, roughly 5 times Starter's weekly pace, plus daily refresh on your Picks feed and deeper Forecast reads. It fits users who actively work the app, not just inspect it.
What Pro is for
Pro is $12.99 per month and removes the monthly cap on Moves entirely. It also unlocks Chat. Pro fits heavy monthly use: high-volume applications, repeated tailoring, ongoing AI-supported decisions.
Chat is Pro-only
Chat lives on Pro. Starter and Dilly still get all three Moves and all the profile, tracker, jobs, and skills surfaces, just without the conversational layer.
Plan is separate from mode
This trips people up. Student and Seeker are app modes. Starter, Dilly, and Pro are plan tiers. A Seeker user is not automatically paid. A Student user can still be on Pro. These are two different systems.
How Dilly knows your plan
The app reads plan and subscription status from your profile. Depending on the account, status may appear as active, past_due, canceled, unpaid, or empty. After checkout, the app polls your profile for about a minute so the upgraded state can land quickly.
.edu signup and promo logic
Dilly requires a verified .edu email to sign up. The .edu price is the only price. Promo codes also exist in Settings and are validated by the backend.
Common confusion
Why can't I use Chat?
Chat is a Pro-only surface. Starter and Dilly do not include it. Upgrade to Pro to unlock it.
What counts against my Moves allowance?
Each Scout read, each Forecast generation, and each Craft resume counts as one Move. On Starter, your allowance resets every Monday. On Dilly, your allowance resets on the same day each month.
Why do I still look like Starter right after checkout?
The app polls your profile after payment. If it has only been a moment, refresh and give it a few seconds.
